Neck Pain Management Techniques

Manual Therapy for Neck Pain

Manual Therapy

Our hands-on techniques, including myofascial release, soft tissue massage, and trigger point therapy, help relieve neck pain, reduce muscle tension, and restore mobility for long-term relief.

These approaches are particularly effective in releasing muscle tightness caused by stress, desk posture, or repetitive strain. Many patients experience immediate relief, with ongoing sessions supporting long-term improvement.

Dry Needling for Neck Tension

Dry Needling

Dry needling effectively targets neck muscle tightness, trigger points, and pain. It helps relax overactive muscles, reduce inflammation, and promote faster recovery from neck strain or whiplash.

By stimulating trigger points, we can reduce spasms, relieve tension headaches, and promote circulation for faster healing. This technique is particularly helpful for patients with chronic stiffness, whiplash recovery, or recurring workplace-related tension.

Joint Mobilisation & Manipulation

Joint Mobilisation

Gentle joint mobilisation and manipulation techniques can improve neck mobility, reduce stiffness, and relieve tension, helping you move more freely without discomfort.

If your neck feels “locked” or restricted, these interventions can reduce stiffness, improve joint lubrication, and ease nerve pressure, helping you move with confidence.

Postural Support & Ergonomic Advice

Postural Support

Poor posture is a common cause of neck pain. We provide tailored ergonomic advice and postural correction strategies to prevent strain and improve spinal alignment.

Our physios will assess your daily environment — from desk setup to sleep position — and provide ergonomic strategies, posture re-training, and lifestyle adjustments to prevent future strain.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Strength & Conditioning

Our physiotherapists design individualised programs to rebuild neck and upper back strength, improve muscle control, and enhance resilience against future pain episodes.

These exercises are progressive, meaning they adapt as your recovery advances. Long-term, this helps prevent relapses and supports healthier movement patterns.

Headache & Neck Pain Rehabilitation

Headache & Neck Rehab

Many headaches stem from neck dysfunction. We provide targeted treatments to reduce tension, improve mobility, and relieve cervicogenic and tension-related headaches.
