Join us for an afternoon of connection, conversation and celebration of women everywhere!

In a panel style discussion facilitated by Annabel with our therapists Lisa, Atiya and Sasha  we will share information & answer questions on all things
relating to women’s health and empowerment in 2026.

Meet the International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea Panel

Annabel Poulsen

Annabel is a mother and grandmother with extensive experience working with women across the lifespan where there is complexity.

Sasha Wray

Sasha is a mother of 2 with a special interest in treating complex chronic pain, fatigue and mental health concerns. She uses a holistic approach integrating Occupational Therapy, Naturopathy and Acupressure practices. Sasha values building meaning in life with a focus on  care for self and our environment.

Atiya Ali Burrow

Atiya is an occupational therapist with a passion for creative expression and women’s hormonal health. She has a special interest in meeting the unique needs of neurodivergent women’s hormonal health and filling the gap on things that are missed in female AuDHDer’s compared with males.

Atiya facilitates our new “Flow State” art group for neurodivergent women.

Lisa Russ

Lisa is a single mother of 3, Olympian and known within the Next wave team as the “Swiss army knife” physiotherapist because her diverse skill set. Prior to joining Next wave she was based in remote Derby, WA for 15 years. She has broad expertise in musculoskeletal and injury rehab, with a strong interest in sports and neuro-affirming practice.

Women’s Day Discussions

Our therapists are keen to share their experiences and thoughts on any topic you want to find out more about. Our discussion will be focused towards
  • What we see in practice as the biggest challenges women face in regard to their health?
  • Where we see women becoming more empowered?

  • What areas of women’s lives do we want to see more happen?

This will be a relaxed and informal open group discussion for all to get involved.

We are hoping to have some extra guests to share information about local groups supporting women. (TBC)
