Acupuncture Dry Needling
Next Wave physiotherapists are trained in both classical Japanese acupuncture and trigger point ‘dry needling’ treatment approaches.
We draw on contemporary western pain science and traditional theoretical acupuncture models to achieve the best treatment outcome for our patients.
During a treatment we use high quality, single use, fine filament acupuncture needles to target problems with the muscle, nerve and fascial systems of the body. Drawing on the classical approaches means that integrative acupuncture provides safe and rapid recovery from pain or injury while also treating the underlying root cause of an ailment.
Functional Strength and Conditioning
At Next Wave Therapy we provide functional strength and conditioning programs that are biomechanically balanced and incorporate a full body, resistance training approach. These programs focus on movement patterns and integration of the body as a whole, dynamic unit .
Daily functional tasks, occupational and sporting specific activities can be trained to a high level developing efficiency, strength and control. The result is a strong energised and healthy body.
