Exercise rehabilitation is often the treatment of choice for a wide variety of problems, including:
Our integrated team also supports complex cases such as joint hypermobility, post-surgical recovery, and conditions where other treatments have failed.
Clinical Pilates is ideal for helping your rehabilitation following an injury or surgery. It differs from the generic Pilates classes offered at fitness centres because our classes account for your specific needs due to your injuries, surgery or chronic condition.
Your Clinical Pilates exercises are unique to you and focused on your posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility and breathing. It’s practised on equipment, such as reformers, as well as mat-based exercises in semi-private classes or individual sessions.
These classes are suitable for those with back or neck pain, arthritis, osteoporosis, lymphoedema, or pelvic floor dysfunction.
Each patient undergoes an initial assessment where your physiotherapist prescribes a safe, individualised program. During the class, you work through your program with close supervision to ensure correct technique and progression at your own pace.
Patients often report improved mobility and confidence after just a few weeks of attending these classes.
Our strength classes in O’Connor (also known as resistance or functional training) are among our most popular rehab options. These sessions involve progressive exercises such as squats, push-ups, resistance band routines, light weightlifting, and machine-based work.
The goal is to rebuild everyday functional movements like bending, lifting, and walking, while increasing muscle strength and bone density. These classes are especially beneficial for older adults seeking to maintain independence and reduce fall risk.
Designed for athletes and active individuals, these programs accelerate recovery from sports injuries and optimise performance.
Our sports physiotherapists work with you to address ongoing injuries, improve biomechanics, and reduce the risk of reinjury. One patient, a semi-professional athlete with a severe ankle injury, returned to competition 8 weeks ahead of schedule thanks to this program.
Led by physiotherapist Rishal Shah at our O’Connor clinic, this internationally recognised program is proven to be the first-line treatment for hip and knee osteoarthritis.
It combines evidence-based education with tailored exercise to improve function, manage pain, and support pre- and post-surgical outcomes. Patients learn to self-manage their condition, gaining independence and long-term quality of life.
Research shows participants often reduce their pain medication use and delay the need for surgery.
Exercise rehabilitation is more than just “working out.” It’s a medically guided program designed to restore normal function, prevent recurrence, and support long-term wellbeing.
Your program is tailored to your needs, whether that means:
