Complex Pain Presentations
Pain is termed complex when there are many different and connected parts which contribute to it persisting.
A Specialist Physiotherapist has expertise in assessment and diagnosis of different type(s) of pain a person is experiencing. This may be after an acute injury or ongoing pain which persists long after normal tissue healing times.
Specialist physiotherapists get to the root of the problem and help people to understand what is happening and why they are experiencing pain.
Most importantly, in collaboration with the patient, they give a clear plan for treatment and a roadmap to recovery and beyond.
