Celebrating National Pain Week (23rd- 29th July 2019)
Fri 26th July, 5.30 - 6.30 pm
Pain is an essential part of life. Pain protects us from danger and without it human survival would be short lived. But sometimes pain becomes unhelpful and persist beyond tissue injury.
This talk will discuss the different types of pain and how understanding pain can empower you to take back control.
We will discuss the current research around treating persistent pain and the contemporary approaches to pain care used at Next Wave.
Australia recently announced its first ever National Strategic Action Plan to address the needs of the 1 in 5 people living with pain in Australia. This action plan recognises the valuable and essential role of a 360* view of pain and the need for person centred treatment plan.
Our highly qualified and experienced Principal Therapists Jonathan Wray (Physiotherapist) and Sasha Wray (Occupational Therapist, Naturopath) will be presenting. Bring your questions for this enlightening, interesting and informative talk.
